In principle, I second that point of view. However, in a game of online poker there's absolutely no good reason for such long timeouts in the first place.
In a real life game, you might be able to gather extra information from your opponent while you're thinking and in any case, anyone can _see_ that you're doing nothing but thinking about your decision,
But in online poker, that extra information could only come from side channels that I would consider cheating - external software to calculate odds, external communication with other players at the table, etc. And noone can see what you're doing, so someone just might...
I play here to improve my intuition, so you will very seldomly see me on a table with more than 5s timeout. If you have to think about your decision for more than that, a fold is likely to be the best decision anyway. I can see why other players would want some more time, but 15 or maybe 20s should be more than enough - unless you rely on extra information as mentioned above.
