TOPIC: Minimum of 10 games per week is too high

Or make it only the 1st to 3rd place with a 10% bonus. It's not for me the bonus because I don't play that much. But I think it can satisfy the hardcore players and the people who want to improve their ranking.

Well I am neither hardcore player nor in Top 100 but I personaly don't like the idea that just by playing more I could ear better ranking. IMO if someone want to improve his ranking he should play better, not play more.

And I recognize it as a obstacle for myself. I would like to be high in ranking but I don't want (and sometimes just can not) to spend all my free time playing poker. By adding the bonus I think you just close high ranking area for casual players like me and gain nothing. It might satisfy nobody - people who have time could see it as a must, therefore no bonus, no favor, nothing and people who don't have time could feel it just as discrimination. I would leave it as much open as possible.

Koja, I'm only giving even more alternatives because I agree 100% with your suggestion. But it seems it's not strong enough to change the system. :(

I would consider lower limits and longer time interval. Like 15-20 games per month. I'm afraid if I don't have time to play one week, which do will happen I would be bitter when immediately falling down. If there was a chance (to compensate it in the rest of the month) I would go ahead.

I don't know if it is wise to give bonus to people who play much. From my perspective it is a bit unfair - it would reward sacrificed time more than player's skill.

Well I just like to play occasionaly. I would keep it fun more than sport and would allow more people to compete for top rankings than some "pro" elite who have time to play often.

Well, by giving our opinion we can only help. Let's try and hope.

I had a busy week this week, and i didn't play games last night, and my rankings plummeted ~500 (~550->~1000) places because my games per week went to 7 last night. Maybe we could change WHEN it slaps you with the mauls? Like if you have less than 10 games/week for seven (or maybe 5 or 14) consecutive days then you get slapped with the mauls, giving someone a chance to play three or four games to get back over 10 with out killing the rankings? The mauls is to stop some one from getting a high rank and walk away fro a month-year and maintain that rank, But someone who has a busy week or two doesn't get killed. This takes a little bit of the bite out of the mauls for the average player, and still kills the rank of someone who walks away for a month.

Hi all,

This night has been for me a great game night, while sleeping, i've lost 604 places in the ranking ... Thanks to "inactivity bonus".
And i read in this post that it's my fault because i'm playing "for fun" and not enough, as if I was in championship (where 2 games a day is the rule)...
I appreciated the evolutions of Poker Th especially the ranking, it was a good way to play with player a little "serious" and to follow it's own history.
But now I've understood that i MUST play, I HAVE TO play today because I'm late in my counter of "games played last 7 days" if I want to have a ranking which means something, I'll don't care anymore at the ranking.
The pernicious effect is that players don't care at the ranking could play no matter of serious, if you see what I mean ...
Is ther another choice ? Yes, I've read here : Playing open games. Too boring, 6 all-in at the first hand, not very interesting, thanks.

It's a great shame, I was enjoying playing on PokerTh with PokerTh gamers, and I have respect for PokerTh team, but our way of thinking are different.

N.B. : sorry for my english
