Hello people!

First of all, I have to say thank you for the great effort that you are doing and the incredible game that you have come out with.

I want to report that pokerth-0.6 is totally unusable on an iBook G4 (OSX 10.4.11, PowerPC). I just downloaded the final DMG and tried to play both in local and on Internet, and I can see every single frame repainting, even I can see how the cards turn on the flop, taking more than 10 seconds to complete a simple animation.

The system is the following:
iBook G4 1.0GHz
512MB RAM
ATI Radeon Mobility 7200
MacOS X Tiger (PowerPC 32bit) 10.4.11

I have to say that pokerth-0.5 works perfectly on it, and animations and game go smooth. I don't understand why this happens with 0.6-final.

I didn't try the 0.6-rc1 nor 0.6-rc2, but at least the final version is not usable.

Am I doing something wrong or there is someone else with this problem?

By the way, I forgot to mention that the CPU gets up to 95% when the cards are turning on the flop.

If you have no people with an iBook PowerPC, I can test you whatever you need, I would be more than glad to do it, so please do not hesitate in asking me if you need further tests about this matter.

Does this also occur if you are playing a local (non-network) game against computer players?

Yes it does, it happens in any case, and it seems to be an issue of the drawing code, because the animations are extremely slow.

For now, as a workaround, you can disable the animations in the configuration options.

Thanks for offering to test on the iBook. As soon as we have an idea what could be the problem, we'll get back to you. However, this probably won't be before Christmas .
