If I chose "raise", it's impossible to get back and just "call"... that's often a bullet in my foot !

Same thing with "bet" and "check"...

Post edited by: aelOnn, at: 2007/04/06 18:37

I noticed this too.
In real poker, though, a verbal announcement is binding. You can't say "I raise, umm, no, I'll just call".
So I thought this was the pokerth version of that real-world rule

Lol, you can't compare the two things ^^
Besides, in real games, you can "twiddle" yours chips without bet for real

hi

A little bit we are geared to the rules heyn described. But the other reason was, that we want to do the 3-buttons-concept. So one click on bet or raise is binding

... while I can relate to the 3-button-concept and since I know about the rules on a real table, you should also see that people click on a wrong button once in a while. Again, programs should forgive erorrs (if possible). I actually also had this one on my list. Maybe you can come up with a clever idea which doesn't destroy this concept of three coloured buttons. Or something.

Ralf.
