It is very easy to make money in this game:
Just wait for all bots to pay the Big blind, and raise to 500$, then all bots will fold, and you get the Big blinds.
I don't think that real players would fold so easy.

And I think there is a calculating bug or something like that:
I played with 6 enemies, starting cash was 3000$. After the game, all players had no money, except one, he had 20998$. But 7 Players * 3000$ = 21000$ ?!?

As for the "bots fold too quickly", I found that it is very dependent on how much the blind is compared to the total cash each player has. If throwing away the amount of the big blind doesn't hurt them too much, they'll be inclined to do it more often. Try upping the blinds a bit, they'll start taking some more risks.
But it's true, slow-playing by the bots doesn't happen too often: if they just call the big blind, chances are they want to limp in. Check-raising is also pretty rare.

As for the disappearing few dollars, this does happen when the pot is split a few times. When the pot is $1000, and it is split between three players, they all get $333. The game could give one of the three players the extra $1, but would that be fair?
In casinos, the dealer takes a small percentage of the pots as his wage. So, consider it rake

the ai players try to react to the human aggressiveness. if you play more aggressive it should be more difficult to force them out. if i play it's very rare to steal more than three or four times the blinds of all opponents within few hands. perhaps you can send me a log-file of games where you managed it to steal the blind too easy and often.

From wikipedia:
QUOTE:
If the best hand is shared by more than one player, then the pot is split equally among them, with any extra chips going to the first players after the button in clockwise order.

ok, thank you for the answers...
I think this wikipedia showdown can be implemented... it makes the game not really better, but more realistic
