"With the cross-platform-power of Qt "PokerTH - The Open Source Texas-Holdem Poker Engine" is now also playable on Apple machines with MacOSX (>=10.4.9)."
Does this sentence means that one day a Linux-Version will exist? KDE is written with Qt.

Hi,

A Linux version already exists. I play on Linux all the time. Check the download page.
Have fun!

Greetings,

I never tried it (had a lot of stuff coming).
But now, there is a portable PortableApps.com version at http://portableapps.com/PokerTHPortable

Just wondering;

The standalone version stores your settings in C:\Documents and Settings\[your-username]\Application Data\pokerth.
So if you stay one one PC it doesn't matter. But if you travel, you will leave settings behind on the PC you used it on.
The version from PortableApps.com is to be run from an USB stick and stores its settings in a folder on your USB stick. Soyou wont leave any personal data behind.

Aye -- Didn't realize it placed all the info in the registry.

What is the advantage to that over creating a .ini file (win) or a .settings (*nix) in the working directory?

Thanks!
