I'm glad it worked out finally. Sorry it took so much effort. This is the reason why I dislike cygwin... It does strange things to your system.

The trick was closing and reopening the command window, not deleting the pkth_boost_delete_me_after_build. The later is really completely optional. Reopening the command window causes settings to be reread. If you delete cygwin options this will have no effect on open cmd windows, the effect will only be caused if you restart cmd.exe.

However, I will change the svn-url from https to http, and I will state some warnings about cygwin in the readme. Thanks for all the feedback.

I thank you and the other folks involved with PokerTh for taking the time to put this application together and providing a Windows build.

Before I edited the registry to remove all Cygwin references I had created a system save point just incase something stopped working.

After that, I rebooted the system to make sure there was no possibility of any references, I also removed all pokerth directories and unzipped the file I had downloaded from the site. Therefore, I was using the original svn-url when I tried the last two builds.

I am not a fan of Cygwin but there are not many stable pseudo *nix environments for Windows. One of these days, I will get another hard drive and install one of the Linux compatible systems, and make a dual boot system.

This does make it difficult to build Windows libraries and DLL’s or to try to convert applications from Linux and other similar systems. Of course, over the years it has definitely become easier.
