I don't want to do X feature requests so i decided to put them all in here

as seen at europoker poker applet (pokernetwork.co.uk)

would be nice if player could press f1 fold f2 check f3 raise already
BEFORE other players decisions

AND

highlighting the cards with moving them a little higher on the table.. not
only shadowing the rest..

look at europoker you will see what i mean

AND

for playing 10 players game you must make your cars smaller...

perhaps you could show smaller cards with bigger symbols? or/and show only
the winning users cards in 1:1 the second strongest pair in 0,5 the third
in 0,25...

AND

if a player folds a little animation like the cards are thrown into the
center of the table

AND

cool sounds ... for fold check raise and win

AND

integration of some messenger stuff? teamspeak or whatever?

so during the game we can make each other nervous

(AND/OR) Webcam? instead of players picture

i forgot:

showing the card pairs / list in the left corner is a great idea..

but could you highlight the one which won.. so if i win with two pairs.. the two pair symbol blinks...

Cosmetic stuff, I have no problem with, if they're doable and not distracting. I like the design simple, clear and functional, animations kept to a minimum. Performance must be considered as well.

Highlighting the hand in the left toolbox is not a bad idea though, this would make the left toolbox slightly more useful. But I'd like it to highlight the hand a player "already" has all the time (or from the moment the flop has been dealt), not just when the hand is already over. Because then you can just as easily check the log window.
Although, in my opinion, this feature shouldn't be at the top of any priority list.

Webcam and messenger? Ouch. The network support is not even finished yet. And even when it was, I would be very much against integrating that much stuff into pokerth, especially webcam (this means either a lot of dependencies on other stuff or a huge binary).

I imagine pokerth being more about playing a game of poker with some AI players or with a few friends (and you can keep a separate (kopete?) window open with a messenger and a webcam if you want). When I want to play with a large number of complete strangers, I go to one of the big poker sites too.

The sound effects, however, are being considered by the interface designer. I hope they will be optional, because the clicking of chips and crunching of cards coming out of my speakers all the time would drive me nuts (or get me to disconnect my speakers).

I could be too conservative and obsessed with simplicity about all this. Maybe the devs can shed some light on their philosophy and on how featureful they'd like pokerth to eventually become.

Just a few minds:

We did not intend PokerTH as a rivalry to big poker-sites. The original main feature was the engine. Coming network support will be great (Many thx to lotodore . And it will be also great in combination with the engine, because there are less free poker games with network+engine. (btw. Does anybody know about one?).
PokerTH should be a game which is quick installed, easy to use, and just makes a lot of fun to play.
We have a lot of ideas how PokerTH can be enhanced, and got a lot of useful input from you all (hopefully get it again in future . But we also take a look to prevent PokerTH gets feauture-overloaded.

By and by it will grow up

Actually, I came across a small poker server which has network+engine. No client though, so I haven't tried it. But maybe it can be looked at for network support inspiration (or nicking code, it's gpl as far as I can tell )
