I also have a problem with svn compiling on one machine (I don't use this one often, so I can't say "it used to work fine", it may also be due to a misconfiguration or something)
It's an Athlon XP 1,6 GHz with 512 MB RAM (coincidence?)
It dies saying
obj/pokerth.o: In function `main':
pokerth.cpp

.text+0xf5): undefined reference to `qInitResources_resources()'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [bin/pokerth] Error 1
Maybe it's related.
heyn
EDIT: weird, I rm -rf'd the pokerth dir for a fresh compile, and it died again but with a different error.
-Isrc/gui/qt/changehumanplayernamedialog -Imocs -Iuics -o obj/qrc_resources.o qrc_resources.cpp
g++: Internal error: Killed (program cc1plus)
Please submit a full bug report.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.
make: *** [obj/qrc_resources.o] Error 1
EDIT2: I haven't got a big swap partition on this machine, it's only 256 MB, so maybe it is a lack of memory. How much MB is your swap partition, fretchen? Anyway, I stopped trying on this machine and just copied a binary over from another machine.
EDIT3: I have a svn642 64bit binary that I could mail you. It might work, I've copied binaries over between distros before, never to Debian-based ones though. It's compiled against boost 1.34 and qt4.2.3. I could also do a 0.5 compile if you want to play with windows-only friends because svn has just become network-incompatible with 0.5
