PokerTH for MacOSX
ImageToday on 01.05.2007 we present PokerTH for MacOSX. With the cross-platform-power of Qt "PokerTH - The Open Source Texas-Holdem Poker Engine" is now also playable on Apple machines with MacOSX (>=10.4.9). Many thanks to dunkanx who built the dmg package. The dmg contains an universal binary so you can play on powerpc as well as on intel-mac. For next mac releases we are working on better mac look & feel in the dialog windows.
And now ... have a lot of fun!

Annual jubilee
ImageToday, on 15.04.2007 it's one year ago we (doitux and me) looked for an offline Texas Holdem Poker engine in internet. After searching for hours we didn't find such a game and decided to found the PokerTH project. The next seven days we programed the first version - the pokerth-0.1-alpha. The gui was already similar to the gui you know form version 0.3 but it wasn't possible to play more than preflop. After that we stopped working and tried to pick up more ideas. In september we took up the work to complete the betting rounds. The result were versions 0.2 and 0.3 which were published in october. From that moment our fan community and download rates grew continuously. In 2007 lotodore and tranberry joined our project and together we released the version 0.4 two weeks ago with new graphical design and a lot of new implemented features.
We thank our users for help enhancing PokerTH with bug reports, feature requests and suggetive forum discussions. We hope you will stay tuned to our project and the following year will be productive as well.

PokerTH 0.4 released
ImageToday on "35.03.2007" we are happy to present the new version 0.4 of PokerTH. This release includes a lot of new features and bugfixes. At this point many thanks to all users for bug-reports and feature-requests. As you can see the gui has a completely new design build from our new project member for graphic design. There is also a completely rewritten engine with a new code design and improved playing style. We hope you like it. For this release we did a lot of changes to improve usability:
  • you can now play against up to 6 opponents
  • new settings menu to edit and save a lot of preferences
  • log-window and log-files for improved review played games

Code freeze - Call for svn-tests
Today (30.03.2007) we freezed the actual development code. As from now we will only work on stability and bugfixes for next release. In this situation we would be happy about your help as svn-tester. Please check out actual svn revision, try it and report bugs in the forum.
The most important testing fields are:
    1. settings (edit, save and apply settings in every moment of application runtime),
    2. game chain (e.g. doing "check" if you only allowed to "call"),
    3. engine errors (please start in console and report lines like "ERROR 13 17 4 39 0 14036" may be with corresponding html-logfile),
    4. gui (e.g. hanging gfx or not working buttons),
    5. general bugs (e.g. segfaults).
With the help of a lot of svn-tester we will hopefully be able to release in a few days.
