small issue in svn468 - 2007/05/26 00:53 Hi,
I appreciate you guys are implementing a lot of stuff, and I won't be offended if you reply "stop testing svn versions at the moment, you nut"

Still:
When I select or deselect "show intro on startup" I get an avatar selection menu out of the blue. Deleting .pokerth to "refresh" the settings does not help.

P.S. Oh, and "Create Network Game" (I can't keep myself from trying that, especially if there's a comment "Network: First round seems to work fine now") causes a segfault. But you probably knew that.

But you are right. SVN is under heavy development at the moment.
The "show intro"-click -> avatar-gallery is just a placeholder until i complete the refactoring of avatar and playernicks in settingsdialog. Sry for confusion ...

I have tested rev 468 here with create network game and have no problems. Which os are you running? regards

Re:small issue in svn468 - 2007/05/26 05:16 Thx for the reply. The OS it segfaults on is Arch Linux (on which I compile svn versions).
I remember now it might be related to the boost libs (boost libs got upgraded to 1.34.0 recently in Arch).
I copied the binary over to a Frugalware install (other comp) that's still on 1.33.0 and it works there. Maybe I can try to downgrade boost in Arch later on, see if it makes a difference (I have no access to that comp right now).

Re:small issue in svn468 - 2007/05/26 06:18 The minimum version of boost should be something like 1.30 (thread-safe shared_ptr is required). 1.33 or later is strongly recommended.

1.34 should be fine, however. Thanks for testing, please let us know the result. --

Re:small issue in svn468 - 2007/05/26 07:02 Downgrading to 1.33 makes the segfaulting go away. I'll keep it at 1.33 for now, if you guys have no problems using 1.34 I can maybe do some more testing later.
