Re:qt 4.3.1 - 2007/09/02 19:15svn775 works much better. It still has whiteness in places (game speed bar, tab titles) but the white blocks are gone, so it's completely usable now with qt 4.3.1.
I can now stop keeping qt4 at an earlier version. Thank you. I personally can't get pokerth to compile with qt4.2.3 anymore, by the way.
