These will likely be double edge sworded ideas, but because they're non-existent now maybe they should be addressed..
I have tried on a few occasions to create a live link in chat, mainly to get people to actually view THIS very forum, but links never show in chat, it just remains as text..I would like that added or fixed..We know that most people will NEVER even remotely consider typing out a web address..Gawd forbid doing anything manually! You might as well ask them to poke their own eyeballs out with a popcycle stick first!
Also in chat something that is impossible or at least difficult is to highlight a section of chat, copy it then paste it elsewhere. Yes, I know I can probably just click on Ctrl+C, but my brain works like this: If my mouse can't do it it probably doesn't work.. Even though I know that's false, my brain sees it the other way
The reason for copy and paste is simple and straightforward, I like to copy things to have them translated on google or bablefish, etc.. I'm mono-lingual and as much as I have tried to learn other languages I have consistently failed at it. A quick right click and paste would make life so much easier..
The double edge sword part is that these features are inevitably going to be abused by some twit, but I can live with twits for the most part. Just making it through a game without reaching through my monitor to slap some snot nosed kid silly is proof of that.
