Can anyone explain how SVN works if I wanted to download the newer version for testing?
I went to the site listed, pokerth.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pokerth/trunk/pokerth/ an there is a TON of stuff there and nothing I would call exactly 'downloadable' in any reasonable time frame especially from the web.
I did some looking for SVN is most it what I found is to close to having to install apache server software just to download the newer versions..
OR am I way of base here?

On the Download page (at the bottom) there is the description of a console command that works at least on Linux to download the whole thing.
If you're on Windows, I get a lot of Google hits for TortoiseSVN. No idea how/if it works I'm afraid.

With "the whole thing" I mean all the files you saw when you visited that link.

it's a long process to make it work from SVN.

I figured some of it out.. I downloaded subversion and installed it using apt-get.. Of course I'm using debian so the command was # apt-get install subversion.. Then just use the command given..
Then the command listed on the download page works in a terminal window. I launched it, but it launched the older 6.XX version in a really weird huge window so now I'm deleting or removing the older version .6.xx and hope it doesn't just launch the currently installed stable version, but we'll see..
The older I get the more I forget.. Some of this was like riding a bicycle at one time, but now it's more like learning to pilot a spaceship while using acid or something like that.. LOL
I'm rambling on here and just took nerve medication for my legs so... till next time..

Here's a page to download subversion for various platforms.. Debian is there as well as windows, fedora, mac, ubuntu, suse, etc..
