I have talked to xanax a couple of times on irc and he's a perfectionist regarding this software, also he is French (neither of which is negative, don't get me wrong).
Maybe he is going to do the French translation from now on or maybe he will review it. To help, I have compiled a list of (potential) issues in the French translation.

It's true that I really like this game and I would like to help it the best I can. But if I get too excited about this project, don't hesitate to calm me down. I promess, I won't cry.

It's true that I some ideas to get it improved but I agree that they might not be what PokerTH developers want. I just want to share my opinions about future features.

Fréquence: is OK but in France we add a space between the word and the colon ":" so I think that Fréquence : might be better. But if you add the space, you have to do it everywhere.. So i don't know if it's a good idea.

The thing is: the right way to type it in French is with the space but without it, it's still OK. That doesn't hurt my eyes at all.

Nope, "Départer" doesn't exist, "Se lever" might work but it sounds weird (imo) and "Au chat" doesn't exist neither.
I would suggest Fermer or Quitter (but if I really had to chose I would take "Fermer").

But I have another suggestion for the end of this sentense:

Some french people might not understand the word "chat" here..
Even if this is a word we use verbally, i think most of the french players would understand "tchat" better.

It was meant as a friendly ribbing. You have put forward a lot of (sensible) ideas lately. Thx for not being offended

Dunno why I believed départer to be French. Maybe because the English word departure looks a bit French. Hm, brain malfunction on my part I guess. "Aller au chat" I saw on the internet in a few places though. Quitter is used for quitting the program entirely so Fermer could be ok.

(t)chat and pseudo(nyme) are in a few places like the semicolon space thing you mentioned.

Auto-call all the mains, that's with all the styles that it doesn't fit. The font is a bit big there for me, that's with Linux and qt 4.5.1 which no, nobody uses yet - so not a real issue.

Regarding the use of original poker terms, it's best if it somehow reflects Keep original poker keywords as opposed to what the style says. Tricky one.

Anyway, you and gui may sort it all out I just sometimes check out some translations in languages that I know a little bit about (besides en and nl only fr, de and es actually) to see how they handled certain terms.
