We just published the bugfix release PokerTH 0.8.1. It solves an issue where internet games were freezing because the small blinds grew too large. For additional changes, see the ChangeLog.
The new release should also run on Mac OS 10.5 (Intel only). As usual, you can download it here.

After more than a year of hard work we are proud to present PokerTH 0.8. We would like to thank all of you for your patience and loyality, and we hope you enjoy the new release.
Today on 2010-09-05 we released PokerTH 0.8-beta3 which is hopefully the last step before the final release. The main changes are: 10 players in ranking games and all places in ranking games were calculated now. This will lead to a new ranking version on our offiical ranking website: http://www.poker-heroes.com/ . In the next few days there will be a reset and the new ranking calculation will start. All other features are listed in ChangeLog. You are welcome to download and test the 0.8-beta3 release.

On the way to 0.8-final today on 2010-08-15 we released PokerTH 0.8-beta2. This release contains mostly bugfixes and some small new features which are listed in ChangeLog. You are welcome to download and test the 0.8-beta2 release. Please report any bugs you might encounter in the forum.
In the next few days there will be also an update of the ranking website with a vastly improved score calculation! Please stay tuned.

On 2010-07-23 we released PokerTH 0.8-beta1. This release contains a new login/registration system and online ranking games. While the online ranking page is a preliminary prototype, we would still like to welcome you to download and test the 0.8 beta release. Please report any bugs you might encounter in the forum. Please note that this beta has not been completely translated to all languages.

After a few months of business in our jobs etc. we started again to work on PokerTH version 0.8. A lot of new features are already implemented, only a few points are still on our TODO list. The main feature in 0.8 will be the online ranking system. Registered users can start games with the game type "ranking game". These games will affect their player's rank on the upcoming public ranking website.
In order to have a proper base for the calculation of ranks we decided to set static game details like blinds structure and start cash. Now we are trying to find a good compromise for these game settings. There is a forum thread about "Default settings for ranking game" where you can see what we've planned and make your suggestions. You are welcome to take part in this point of the development.
