Please use this thread to let us know your experince with the latest PokerTH-1.1.1-Android20151208 release on Android 5.x (Lollipop) systems and please also on 4.x systems if available. We need to know if we can replace the old 1.1.1.apk version which only works on 4.x systems. If there are regressions on Android 4.x with the new version we need to keep both parallel.

Please note: We know that the new release 1.1.1-Android20151208 is not really better than the latest one (1.1.1). It should just work as the old one also on newer Android 5.x systems!

best regards

Hi doitux,

at first i like to thank you and the team for your efforts to make pokerth better and better.
I only tried to play the mobile android-versions on my smartphones with a 4,8" and 5,1" screen.
It works, but it was unplayable because font and icons are tooooo small.
On a 10" Windows-Tablet it is more comfortable - but I hope that in future versions will be a possibility to change the resolution or pokerth gets a new layout for smaller screens.

Best regards
zotti

Working on Samsung Galaxy S5 with LolliPop now - tyvm :)

Will re-check KitKat next days, too.
(will post exact OS Versions then also)

Edit:

Galaxy S5 with Android 5.0: working, but GUI issues (see below)
Asus Fonepad 6 Android 4.4.2: working, but GUI issues

On both displays, the top nav of the OS won't disappear when a game starts, leading to cutted of buttons on the bottom - it's nearly impossible to click on check button for example.

Another issue is the back button during a game - only if you keep holding it down, the menu for leaving a game shows up. It is not possible to click any button then, because it dissapears immedeately when leaving the holded down back button.

I checked the former pth version on the Fonepad - 2nd issue is same there.

Hope this info helps :)

get an error on my htc M8 (Lollypop 5.01): "unknown URL for serverlist". there is the right path to the serverlist in the internetgame-configuration.

Installed the apk from sd-card

Edit: I deinstalled and downloaded the apk again ... with my htc. Now it works. But I agree with Spock .... it's to small.

The error has to do with the current server problems. I tried to download it on my pc, but the file is not a recognized compressed format.

To get around this problem I changed to manual configuration and took the values from the file on my PC.

server 46.38.236.60
port 7234

Edit: Forgot to add, seems to work under Android-x86 5.1 so far. The only thing I still miss is the ability to invite players :(

First of all, a BIG BIG thank you for the hard work you do for us all!

Current phone specs: Note 4, 5.1.1, 1440x2560 resolution.
Imgur album with screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/ookqe

So as of right now, the app is not usable. The bug from the previous version is gone, so I can log in on Lollipop. However there is a scaling issue with the icons and font with a high resolution screen. As you can see, the bottom of the app is being cut off and the buttons become difficult to press without a stylus.
The other issue on my phone is that the in game view is shrunk down into the top left corner of my phone, thereby leaving a massive black space on the right side and bottom.
Overall, it is very nice to see PokerTH working on my phone again, but unfortunately it is not very usable as of now.

Thank you again for the development!
