Don't see how it could be the router; routers don't reconfigure themselves, and I use PTH nearly every day for years now with no configuration changes.

Regarding the mobile hotspot: will try that tomorrow. It's 1 AM here :) Good night for now

Thank you for that. It was helpful.
Not. Don't waste peoples' time and bandwidth. We have damned little of it.

@Spock:
I'm getting a different message today: 'Unable to connect to server' at the 60% mark.
When using the browser to reach the server, I'm seeing this generic page. Is this what I'm supposed to see? Note what it says in the second paragraph:

If you are a normal user of this web site and don't know what this page is about, this probably means that the site is currently unavailable due to maintenance. If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator.

I've eliminated the router as a cause by putting some Allow All Traffic rules in the firewall as a test; there's no change in behavior. I'm suspicious of the Apache2 webpage in the screenshot above. I don't think that is what I'm supposed to see in the browser, which means I'm not able to connect to the actual server for some reason.

My IP is in Thailand. Are you certain no restrictions have been placed on logins from that IP range?

Hi ThunderRd,

calling the ip with a webbrowser only causes the request to be addressed to web-server only - which makes no sense, if you don't call web-sever with a configured domain - so your result is an expected result.

The pokerth game server listens on it's own port.

Can you try following command from a command-line:

telnet ip-address port = telnet 123.123.123.123 7890 (data from pm or config.xml)

and send the output of it. (not sure if windows has telnet on board - but on linux it should be there - if not pls install it).

Usually telnet will connect to server.

If not, it is for sure an ISP or Router problem.

I also checked logs from server - no errors.

The server is also NOT restricted to any kind of ip-address zone.

Regards,

sp0ck

Telnet does not connect. Looks like something has changed on the ISP end. Not sure when I'll be back to play, so good luck all.

EDIT: and suddenly, it's working like there was never a problem. No idea what it was, but all is OK now...thanks for the input, Spock.
