BBC

I'm not really sure about this because to me it seems BBC technically is an invitiation-only game like any other and everything has to be made manually yet I wondered if it could get automated more just like a ranking game.

can be implemented in a separate BBC server (based on PokerTH). I don't see a problem. settings for ranking games need to be changed (e.g. Step 1). BBC fork :)

Why?

... and a seperate WEC server maybe? I do not get the communtiy part in it.

So i thought about what you could do tournament or cup wise and I can think of a lot of different systems but with pretty much every one of it there's some basic problem: you would need to rely on most people keep on playing because otherwise the cup would be done before finishing. A system with several leagues or a complex way to play against each other is unsafe.

The monthly cup system prevents that in a way so I would go from there and change the dynamics a bit. For example:

First round

10 games, 10 players each, fast progress, estimated time about 30 minutes, places 1 to 5 go to next round

Second round

5 games, 10 players each, all mixed up, fast progress, harder settings, estimated time about 30 minutes, places 1 and 2 go to final round

Final round

1 game, 10 players, monthly cup final rounds or one of the higher BBC steps settings, first three get some donation themed coins and will be remembered eternally

It probably would work best with a monthly cup like registration while also having the option to fill up rooms with non registered players for first round. After all it's supposed so be for everyone. For the same reason the first two rounds are not that hard when it comes to the settings.

I have no experience with setting up tournaments or cups like this so I'm not sure if this would be a legitimate way to play without risking all in festivals first two rounds. The basic thought is a three round system with two short rounds on easy and medium difficulty and one hard final round so everyone has a chance at start but there's also a different challenge due to different settings in each round.

So you want a another Monthly Cup? Why? The current one works quite well.

No that suggestion was about a possible donation goal related cup. As far as I've understood sp0ck was open about some ideas in that matter.

Organizing Cups makes fun - but it's also work.
Pls think about a topic idea / theme. B)
