1player created the topic: Few questions on Linux Install
OK I downloaded the .run installer on the site for PTH

Then I uploaded to my account on my unix server

Then I went into SSH

I executed the script from the public_html/directory the script was in

I installed the script just below the public_html directory where my scripts usually run out of the public access

now I have a this direstory /PokerTH-1.1.1

In it I can see pokerth a big file and pokerth.sh

So how do I now access the program from my site?

Do I create a html page on my site to call the pokerth.sh file?

If anyone has a link to a file to explain how to setup this program

PLEASE

Thanks in advance

I saw some videos playing 64 hands in 8 minutes on youtube it looks great

Ok so I did bash on the pokerth.sc file

I got this

error while loading shared libraries: libX11-xcb.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

since I ran the installer download I guess the file is already 'installed'

I put it also in a publc_html area

so now I just need to know how to call this script to execute from a domain site

I have the poker.sh file in two places now

one is in a directory below public_html

the other is in a directory on a domain name

so now I need to know if the installer script actually installed it

and if it is best to use the out of public_html directory or the one that is in public_html

I don't know why that lib file isn't showing?

shouldn't it have been installed with the installer script?

thanks in advance for any HELP

Thanks

I used the pokerth.run installer

So the scripts I have on the server are what that script installed

I originally download the .tar file but when I saw the .bz2 extension I decided to go with the .run, years ago I did some .tar stuff but now all we use is WHM/cpanel

So all the scripts are automatic and custom scripts we usually get in a .zip file, unpack in windows enviornment then ftp up to server then set permissions and execute from http or https.

So do these 32 bit libraries exist on the .tar.bz2 file?

Or should I be using the pokerth depository at github

Thanks again

The script looks like it sets up nice rooms

So I'd love to use it for one of our sites

The 32bit libraries are part of your Linux distro, they are not part of pokerth. If you run the 64bit version of your distro the 32bit versions of the libraries are not installed by default. They must be installed separately.
