Rayj00 created the topic: apt-get install PokerTH
So I installed PokerTH on Ubuntu 14.04 server with the apt-get install PokerTH.
The install appeared to work with no errors. I have pokerth in the /usr/games folder now.

When I try to execute pokerth, I get this error message:
QXcbConnection: Could not connect to display
Aborted (core dump)

Now what?

The pokterth builds from the distro repo's are most of the time totally outdated.
Better uninstall it and download the .deb file for your system directly from pokerth.net. Then you can install it with "sudo dpkg -i ...deb"
Maybe check man page for the dpkg command in case any dependencies have to be installed 1st.

Many releases ago I had a problem with libraries. Pokerth was only 32bit and I was running Ubuntu 64 bit. I had to install the 32 bit libraries and then Pokerth ran fine.
