PTH forum relaunch

Hello Admins,

• all my private messages are gone with the new forum appearance.
• Furthermore I miss some forum essential features as 'recent topics', 'edit your profile', etc.
• Threads with multiple pages and wide postings are cut at the right and with IE you cannot reach the text behind this column.
• Checkboxes and drop down boxes have their selection text limited to 2-characters.

Obviously all this and the new layout and new frame design is not browser independent. What browser is best for reading the forum pages? (Please don't answer G-Chrome )

www.pokerth.net isn't reachable with IE 9 any longer because the site reads the wrong program version.

Switched my browser UA string and now IE 9 works again.
Other problems (columns, etc) still exist.

please be patient as the new style is optimized. Due to security issues (see
http://www.pokerth.net/community/forum/2-general-feedback/11564-google-search-hijacked.html ) which may have been related to the kind of old joomla version that was used with the old layout, the update was rushed a bit. Security of this site is very important, but we are sorry if there are some problems that we did not note during the tests of the new layout. I for my part used Google Chrome for testing.

Regarding your issues:
- there were problems porting the private messages to the new joomla system because the database scheme changed. However, they are still there (in a backup), and may still be ported to the new layout.
- "recent topics" is on the front page as "latest posts", but I admit it can no longer be clicked for more messages.
- to edit your profile, click on your own nick/avatar, then there is a small "edit" button
- I cannot reproduce any problems with large forum threads / posts being cut with IE9. Did you modify your IE settings somehow? Could you please describe them in detail or by example?
- I see the problem with the checkboxes and IE9, even chrome (did not note it before), no idea what it is about... We'll have a look at it. Sounds like a problem with the stylesheet.

So in general: Please keep reporting issues you are having, but please, don't panic if it is not fixed instantly.
