I did not know about this rule but I have never played poker in a professional setting. A good reason why Pokerth shouldn't implement this rule is because Pokerth uses a turn timer and the timer might not give the player enough time to decide if they have the best hand or not.

The table isn't quite right; there would be exceptions, for example:

You could be holding 8 and 9 with 7 10 and J on the deck or perhaps J 10 with Q K A on the deck

Similarly, holding J of Hearts with 9, Q, K and A (of Hearts) on the deck.

How about 4 A's on the deck with a K in your hand.

However having thought about it, I'm fairly sure that it applies to hands that can't be equalled, which will exclude straights and most other hands (in most situations) apart from all 3 variants of flush.

Kind regards
Corvus

@KYFHO

i agree. That would be really tough to check in this short amount of time. ;)

@Corvus

i'm not sure. But i think i have included it into the Table.

You could be holding 8 and 9 with 7 10 and J on the deck or perhaps J 10 with Q K A on the deck

(all different colors)
it's the highest possible straight so far. 89 are essential for it as long as the deck don't show more than 2 overcards (a Q for example [third overcard] would steal it because your opponent could holding AK)

secound case: only splitt pot is possible, cause you hold the A high Straight.

Similarly, holding J of Hearts with 9, Q, K and A (of Hearts) on the deck.

you hold the Nut-Flush with A high and no straight and Royal Flush possible

ok now i see ... the condition for Nuts should be:
- holding the highest card of the flush without the community cards.

Think that fits better...

How about 4 A's on the deck with a K in your hand.

that's right. if the board shows already four of a kind you should hold the highest kicker.

thanks and sorry for my humble english :)
