Blupher created the topic: Mandatory Bet Sizes and End of Raises
There are widely followed rules of tournament poker that involve what to do when a player is "short-stacked" and unable to complete a bet or a raise.

For example, when the player who is seated at the big blind seat and is forced to go "all-in" with less than the full big blind bet, the first caller needs to call with the full big blind amount or raise to at least 2x the big blind amount (as if it were the full blind amount). The server does not enforce this.

When a player raises all-in, but it is not a full raise, the players before the raise cannot re-raise if subsequent players merely fold or call. The server allows betting to be reopened.

See "47: Re-Opening the Bet" (and section of examples, too).

Algorithm involves keeping track of an "extra" amount above the call amount, where the extra amount is less than the minimum raise amount.

Matt Savage:

So at blinds 100/200 if UTG makes it 450, that is a raise of 250. The next legal raise would be 250 more than the current bet. In that case the next legal raise would be 450+250 = 700.

all bets are default min Raise :)
