Announcement by Admin board of the WEEEKEND CUP
Hello Cuppers,
we have great news for you. After long time of waiting we found a solution for veteran players, who slightly miss WEC qualification. We apologize for any inconveniences caused by waiting.
We had to modify the original rule proposal a bit, because in Previous Seasons Ranking Statistics only shows the average of last 100 games in a season.
Any player, who miss WEC cut with more than 1000 games and 4 old seasons is also able to qualify via veterans rule.
For such players the weighted average has to be used
The weighted average of the last 100 games of current and last two seasons or last 3 complete seasons. An Average of 9 is needed to qualify via veterans rule.
the basic formula to calculate the ability of a player is:
(games of current season*average of last 100 games of current season+games of season 2013/2*average of last 100 games of season 2013/2+games of season 2013/1*average of last 100 games of season 2013/1+games of season 2012/4*average of last 100 games of season 2012/4)/(games of current season+ games of season 2013/2+games of season 2013/1+games of season 2012/4)
The highest value for games for all seasons is 100.
We also have our first player, who qualified due to this rule.
Welcome JorgeT
We used his last 314 games of current and 3 previous seasons for calculation. He reached a weighted average of 9.22 points
Formula:
(14*10,71+100*10,06+100*11,52+100*5,88)/(14+100+100+100)=9,22
At least we want to explain matter.
Unfortunately we had a conflict between 2 WEC players a month ago.
DerSchlesier and MaiLing are these both players. DerSchlesier provocations leaded to a one-week suspension, which has already served by him. He apologized and promised to be kind towards MaiLing.
We all wish you some nice sunny days and always a cold drink within reach.
Regards
