That's not how it work with a lot (most?) ISPs. For instance in Germany you'll get a new IP on every reconnection. Usually the ISP forces a reconnection every 24h there.

sp0ck fixed the problem. Avatars set in the PokerTH client are now shown in the player's ranking profile page again.
