Is it feasible to organize a rankings pokerth games with tables of 5 or only 2 players ?

No plans on that - sorry.
The change would mean heavy modification of server-code (also a bit for client as new ranking game types should be available for creation) ... and as I already informed you: our c++ coding team currently is 2 persons max - currently being heavily involved with upcoming release.
EDIT:
The best choice is to put up some effort by yourself - like wec and bbc as a best example for cups created inside of this PokerTH environment. You do have the ability of creating custom games and can do all what you want with it. Before I created the current web-sites for wec and bbc, these projects were successfully self-organized and still are!
There also was a heads-up tournament driven by a player - and also a husc-cup experiment from 1st bbc-website developer: Both did not survive in the longterm of PokerTH existance due to too less participation.
