1. When a player wins, the winning hand isn't named and I only get four seconds to see what every player has, which means it's impossible for me to figure out the winning hand or anyone's tactics.
2. It would help with a winning player to also show the hands that are open one by one to show which one is higher. This would require the game to ask whether the player wants to show his/her cards or fold. When they choose to show, their cards are put on the table next to the open cards dealt on the table. (Think "James Bond - Casino Royale".)
3. I have a small screen, which makes characters barely legible. When I set the game to full-screen with the table that gets bigger, the cards stay as small and the fonts stay as small. If they would all resize accordingly to match the full screen size, the game would become a lot clearer.
4. I do like the dealer / small blind / big blind buttons and the fact that the player whose turn it is is highlighted, but it doesn't catch my eye as much as it should. If you put the buttons and turn-indicator on the rim of the screen in clearly contrasting colors, for video-poker that's a bit clearer.
5. For video-poker, I think it would benefit the clarity of the game if it were presented as such, rather than showing an actual table. An old-fashioned video-poker interface is much clearer when you are not actually seated at a real table. You would still have to implement closed cards for every player and the cards dealt, but you could do so in an administrative table that sticks to the player seats, but without drawing the seats in 3D themselves.
