I would like to once again see all my previous complimentary opinions of players.

This is/was available in the widget version via right-clicking on player's avatars.

Also, I know they are/were stored in the local XML file but maybe they can be stored on the server so they follow your account when you login using another device (yep, that would mean creating a new DB table, etc).

Available with 2.1.9 - data stored in local xml like widget client.

OK. That's cool, I'll give it a look-see. Any chance we can figure out how to update the game without having to do a complete install for every minor change?

I really did take a look into ways auf auto updating the c++ client - but it would only work for qml layout files.
It's not worth to implement because:

a) many changes now are really c++ only and cannot be auto-updated at all.
b) there will not be many more updates in the future. You should already see, that each release time is taking longer now as there are no more critical bugs to fix asap.
