Could be a bug that a player appears twice in the list after reconnecting. It also could be that they are different players and a "joker" uses similar looking unicode characters for the second username even though I couldn't find it with a quick search in the database.

Next time you see such a thing you could right click on each player and select "Show player stats". Then you will see if they have the same player id and are in fact the same player listed twice.
