Password issue
No special characters used, just a mixture of upper and lower case letters and numbers, 6 characters long.
EDIT: To be clear. the new password works on the website but the client apps will only accept the previous password.

What OS and browser are you using? Have you tried another browser?

I just tried it myself with a 6 letter/numbers password and it worked as expected. Please try again with a different browser.

I just tried it in a Win11 VM with the Edge browser and it worked there too. I can login into the website and with the client with the same new password.

1. On a different Windows 10 PC (same household, therefore the same internet IP address).
2. My own PC, but running PokerTH 2.1.7 Widget/QML Appimage on Windows subsystem for Linux (also LibreWolf browser Appimage).
In both cases, I still have the same issue - the new password works on the web site but only the old password works on all the client apps (including the Web-client). This happens for both my JeffHG account and the test account I created (testuser).

I managed to solve the problem.
I was changing my PokerTH password as follows:
User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit account settings -> New password
Doing it this way changes my password for the PokerTH.net website but apparently not for the apps.
Instead I used the reset password link https://www.pokerth.net/app.php/user/forgot_password which changed the password for website and apps.
